Ride, Donate, Share - Get fit, have fun and keep active this winter whilst supporting the town's local charities afloat!

From 7 to 31 December, help support amazing local charities by getting on a Beryl bike and helping Watford cycle to Lapland and back, and text 'WATFORD' to 70201 to donate £1 as you take part. We’re aiming to cycle 6,307km collectively!

If every Watford resident donated just £1, we’d raise over £90,000 for the fund. Every donation helps! ​Send us your selfies as you join in, and why not tag your mates and get them involved?
How to join in
Residents can take their own bike out for a spin around their local park, shops or hire a Beryl bike and get sponsored or donate to the appeal. At the end of the campaign, a prize draw will take place with a six month Everyone Active family membership worth £675 with fitness goodies up for grabs for the lucky winner.
If residents are using their own bike to cycle their distance, they’re asked to email bikeshare@watford.gov.uk with their distance so the council can track the total area covered. You may even spot Santa on the Beryl cargo bike!
Sponsorship
​We’re are also looking for companies to donate to the charity campaign based on a chosen metric (number of Beryl Bike rides or number of kms ridden on a Beryl Bike). Options include:
